Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If you have any questions about our service, then this page is the first place to check for an answer.
The world may never know.
How does the administration system work?
Our service is run by both humans and robots. If a violating post is made, robots automatically detect major violations like swear words within 5 minutes.
However, if a violation like harassment is committed, our human admins do the work.
Please note: false reporting is a violation of the Code of Conduct and is subject to action up to and including restriction.
I did something, but an error showed up.
However, if you get an error on basic functions like Yeahing posts, they most likely work. Don't let the error decieve you.
I saw a comment with a spoiler in it, even though it wasn’t marked as having spoilers.
It’s up to users to mark their posts as having spoilers. However, if someone forgets to do this, you can help by reporting spoilers.
Comments and posts that receive enough spoiler reports will be marked as spoilers, viewable only to people who have chosen to keep spoilers visible.
Who created this site?
I can’t see comments for other regions.
The US version of our site is region-locked, so you may not be able to see posts from other regions than your own. However, on the Japanese, Mexican/Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese/Brazilian, German, Russian, Polish, Chinese, and South Korean editions of the site, you will be able to view all posts from every region except the US.
Fortunately, in your Uiiverse Settings, you can use the option that reads “View community posts from users who are using which system language?” to control which languages you see in Uiiverse communities.
You may choose to view all languages (default) or only posts made by users with the same system-language setting as you.
Are there any Uiiverse features that will be available on Wii U consoles and systems in the Nintendo 3DS family but not available on PCs, smartphones, or other non-Nintendo devices?
Features not currently available in the web version include:
- Handwritten posts
- The sending and receiving of messages
- The sending and receiving of friend requests
How do you delete a post?
If you post something you later do not want other users to see, you can delete it. Here is how:
- Select the post you wish to delete from within Uiiverse. If you need assistance locating the post:
From within Uiiverse, select your user icon, and then select Posts on the User Page.
- Scroll through the list of posts.
- Select the wrench icon located in the lower-right corner of the post you want to delete.
- Select the drop-down menu, and select Delete.
- Select Submit.
Please note that deleting a post does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information posted by you (for example, if another user has copied your post or if you or another user previously shared the post on another website).
Why did you make this website?
When Miiverse originally ended, the sudden influx of clones blew my mind. The first one I used was known as Closedverse. Ever since then, I've tried a multitude of Miiverse clones, but they all have their issues in truly reviving the service, so I decided to do it on my own, because I believe that completely emulating Miiverse is what will make clones better.
Probably the most well known one. It does have a good programming style, it's visually pleasing, and kind of represents Miiverse's original purpose.
The on-topic community was great. The feeling of just discussing games definitely brought Miiverse's spirit back. However, there was an issue with this, and it mostly lied in the Anything Goes and Serious Discussion communities.
The "off-topic" people dominated the site's userbase. The rules weren't too strict either, so it was kind of just a free-for-all with them. There was drama every day, most of the English admins were bad at their jobs, and Arian was too up-close with the userbase so the feeling of authority really just disappeared eventually.
This was personally my favorite Miiverse clone out of all of them, at least Cedar 15 was.
It looked almost exactly like Miiverse, it stayed loyal to the original service for the most part, and the rules, while similar to Closedverse's, were actually enforced and balanced. The userbase was also good, and Seth was a much better owner than Arian.
So...what's the problem with this?
There were simply not enough people, and the site's activity faded over the course of 2018, eventually leading to Seth killing it off for good.
The big collab.
Indigo looks absolutely amazing, the features are great, and post importing from Miiverse really does make the service go back to its roots, so what's the problem?
Like 9,000 other clones, it's the userbase, the administration, and the fact that the owners are too personal with their users. It's just a combination of everything that made Closedverse bad. It's super strict while being a free-for-all. Like 9,000 other clones, the rules are barely derivative of Miiverse's. The first major "drama" that happened there started within two days. It's great on the outside, but terrifying on the inside.
All of those clones' problems inspired me to make an exact revival of Miiverse, rules and everything. I truly hope that this site ends up the way Miiverse does, and I can assure you that if I ever stop caring about it, I won't spam "SONY" or "DELL" because it's funny and break down the site's entire system. Instead, I'd just give it to someone I trusted or shut it down formally, but that's probably never gonna happen. I care about this site a lot and I won't let it die.
